The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission sets an objective paper for most of the posts it advertises. The subjects below are the ones that recur across those papers.
Provincial knowledge is not optional
A KPPSC paper asks about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a way a federal paper does not: the province's districts and their geography, its administrative structure, the merger of the former FATA agencies and what changed because of it, and provincial institutions and office holders.
General Pakistan Studies preparation covers maybe two thirds of what you need. The rest is provincial, and it is where candidates who prepared from a national guide lose marks they did not expect to lose.
Practise one subject at a time first
A mixed set of questions gives you a score; one subject at a time gives you a diagnosis. Repeated errors in the same area point at a gap you can close — a period you never covered, a formula you half-remember. Close it, then return to mixed practice to rehearse the paper itself.
Check the advertisement
KPPSC varies the composition by post. The number of questions, the time allowed, the subject split and whether negative marking applies are all set in the advertisement for the specific post, not by a general rule. Read yours before you build a timetable around any particular breakdown.
Where negative marking does apply, practise elimination rather than guessing: an answer with two options ruled out is usually worth attempting, a blind guess between four usually is not.
Current affairs
These age faster than anything else here. Use them for the shape of what gets asked — appointments, agreements, summits, sporting results — and confirm anything recent against a current source.
Where to go next
The buttons above open the subject banks, each question with its answer and a written explanation. The KPPSC preparation guide covers the pattern and a study order if you want those first.
