Sarkari MCQs

About Sarkari MCQs

A free, independent question bank for people preparing for government jobs and competitive examinations in Pakistan.

What this site is

Sarkari MCQs collects multiple choice questions used in competitive recruitment and aptitude examinations, and presents each one on its own page with its options, the correct answer and, where available, an explanation. Questions are organised by subject, category and topic so that a single area — say Pakistan Studies, or English vocabulary — can be revised on its own rather than hunting through a mixed set.

Every question can be read in two ways. Quiz mode hides the answer until you choose an option, so you can test yourself honestly. Learning mode shows the correct answer immediately, in bold green, for fast revision before a paper. The site remembers which you prefer.

Which examinations it covers

The question bank is general preparation material rather than a course for one particular paper. It is used by candidates sitting:

  • PPSC — Punjab Public Service Commission
  • FPSC — Federal Public Service Commission
  • NTS — National Testing Service
  • CSS and PMS competitive examinations
  • KPPSC, SPSC, BPSC and AJKPSC
  • PTS, OTS and CTS testing services
  • Departmental tests such as FIA and ASF
  • Educators, clerical and junior post tests

Past paper questions recur across these examinations, which is why a single well-organised bank is useful for more than one of them at a time.

Subjects you can revise here

The compulsory subjects that appear in nearly every screening test are covered first: General Knowledge, Current Affairs of Pakistan and the world, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Everyday Science, English grammar and vocabulary, Computer Science and basic Mathematics.

Beyond those, specialist areas are added as questions are contributed — Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Pedagogy, Sociology, Psychology, Statistics and Law among them.

How to use it for preparation

  1. Pick one subject and work through it in quiz mode, rather than sampling across many.
  2. Note the questions you get wrong; those are the topics worth reading about properly.
  3. Come back to the same topic in learning mode a few days later to check what stuck.
  4. Use the search box to find a specific term the moment you meet it in a paper.

Longer written guides — study plans, paper patterns and subject breakdowns — are collected under preparation guides.

How questions are handled

Questions come from two places: sets added by the site's administrators, and submissions from registered members. Member submissions are never published automatically — each one is reviewed by a moderator, who can approve it, edit and approve it, or reject it with a reason the contributor can read.

An automatic check looks for questions that repeat word for word, so an exact duplicate should not reach the site. It does not catch a question that has been reworded, and the bank is large enough that some have slipped through. If you find one, please tell us.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim for every answer to be correct, but mistakes reach any large question bank. If you believe an answer is wrong, or a question is unclear or badly worded, please report it. Corrections are made quickly and we would rather hear about a problem than leave it in place.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sarkari MCQs free to use?
Yes. Every question and answer is free to read and no account is needed. Registration exists only so that members can contribute questions of their own.
Which examinations do these MCQs cover?
The question bank is written for competitive recruitment and aptitude examinations, including PPSC, FPSC, NTS, CSS, PMS, KPPSC, SPSC, BPSC, AJKPSC, PTS, OTS and CTS, as well as departmental tests such as FIA and ASF.
Which subjects are included?
General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Everyday Science, English grammar and vocabulary, Computer Science and basic Mathematics, alongside specialist subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science, Pedagogy and Law.
Can I practise without an account?
Yes. Open any subject, category or topic and attempt the questions directly. Quiz mode hides the answer until you choose an option; learning mode shows it immediately for revision.
Are the answers checked?
Questions added by members are reviewed by a moderator before they appear, and an automatic check looks for questions that repeat word for word. Reworded duplicates and mistakes still reach any large question bank, so there is a link on every page to report an incorrect answer.
Is this an official government website?
No. Sarkari MCQs is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any government department, public service commission or examination authority.
